Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms offered a fantastic sea view but needed updating, especially the carpet. However, a mix-up with the bed configuration caused some inconvenience during my stay. The service was friendly and caring, particularly helpful during a difficult time, but there were minor issues with room amenities. The location was superb with a stunning seafront view, yet there were some lapses in room cleanliness and parking availability. The dining experience was satisfactory, although the timing was inconvenient for late risers. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement in certain areas.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel, with beautiful and spacious rooms that felt more like a flat than a typical hotel room. The breakfast was really nice. However, the traffic noise from the A259 was a downside to the otherwise great location by the sea.
My stay at the Royal Victoria was a mix of highs and lows. The hotel's location right on the promenade was perfect, and the spacious room easily accommodated four adults. However, the absence of free hotel parking was a bit of a hassle as we had to search for street parking. The stained glass window on the stairway added charm but needed some cleaning.
The hotel offers clean and spacious rooms, with very nice and helpful service. The location is superb, right on the seafront, providing a calming atmosphere. The dining experience may have some issues, but the facilities overall are satisfactory.
The hotel is conveniently located, offering a mix of positive and negative aspects. The rooms are spacious, though overshadowed by the front hotel sign. Service encounters range from enjoyable interactions to minor issues. The location, rich in history, provides stunning views but could use better maintenance. Dining options vary from satisfactory to cold and unappetizing experiences.
I had an amazing stay at the Royal Victoria. The rooms were beyond expectations, and the breakfast was very good. The location right on the promenade was wonderful. However, the dark and depressing music needs improving.
The hotel offers perfect, large, comfortable rooms with a great sea view, clean and decent-sized accommodations with the requested sea view, and an amazing upper-level room accessed by a spiral staircase boasting the best sea views in St Leonards. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is fantastic, next to the sea and only a short walk from all the fun in Hastings. The dining experience, though not very warm or fresh in terms of food, allows guests to enjoy drinks and lunch at the piano bar with their furry friends. Overall, the facilities are well-maintained, making for a pleasant stay.
